Keeping in touch from New Mexico to ???

I live right outside the UFO Capital of the World so I guess you could say I communicate 'inter-galactically'! Now that's long distance!

I find myself wanting to be younger the older I get!

Live life without ever having to say 'what if' ?

Another Scrapbook Moment

Somehow I thought at the age of 18 you could make it to the bathroom in the middle of the night when you were sick, have a private moment at the porcelain throne, and go back to bed....NOT!

Another reason boys still need their moms...Zach, sick to his stomach last night, shakes me awake, "Mom, mom...mom. I threw up." Do men need a medal and affirmation for everything they do on their own, LOL!!?

To Be or Not to Be-Decoratingly? Correct

Does anyone know how long is too long to leave up Christmas decorations in a church? After all don't we celebrate Jesus all year? Seriously, things are crazy busy for me 24/7 it seems and on top of that I must have some freak virus I can't seem to get rid of but they don't know what it is. And being the super woman/pastor/mom/cook/consultant/coach/cheerleader/chauffeur/nurse/counselor/wife/custodian/maid/laundress/dog whisperer/___________ that I am; I still have not taken down the decorations in our church! And believe me, people are letting me know - like I can't see them...hello!

They Never Outgrow Their Mommy

I liked it better when...
* I could comb their hair the way that made them look so handsome.
* I could pick out their clothes (at least the ones they wore in public).
* I could pick my battles - let them wear snow boots or cut their hair into a mohawk!
* They told me they would never love any girl as much as they loved me.
* All girls were yucky except for mommies.
* Jesus was their best friend and they really did believe He could do anything!
* They believed in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.
* A 'Match-Box' car was the best present in the whole-wide world!
* They wouldn't go to bed until we came in to say their prayers with them.
* A Happy Meal was enough to give us left-overs!
* My thumb was enough to clean the dirt off their faces.
* Their laundry didn't stand up by itself or drip when you picked it up - EEWWWW!
* Vegetables could be disguised and were eaten to make "strong muscles".
* My favorite time of the day was at 8PM and not waiting to hear the car come up the drive at 12AM.
* They asked for a quarter and not the debit card!
and
* I could make their decisions for them...
But now my heart must trust that they can be trusted and trust themselves; relying on everything their father and I have instilled within them. My first baby is now 18 and facing decisions that must be his...and the conflict it causes me is both immeasurable and unexpected. Recently faced with offers from colleges that I think would be great opportunities, I must yield to the Holy Spirit to guide and direct his steps and watch him step through the door and onto the path of becoming a man.

Just help me Lord not to shove him through the doors you open for him (and lock the door behind him)!
